Doc Sam is a major character appearing in StarCrawlers. The proprietor of Doc Sam's Saloon, he provides the player with a means to find and accept various jobs from the numerous Factions. He provides advice, some gossip and acts somewhat as a middle-man, setting up communications between the player and their clientele on missions that span more than one outing. Doc Sam also serves to be an area where the player can recruit additional Crawlers. In addition, he holds excess inventory from the player at no cost.
